Oppose rezoning and destruction of native forests in Cotswold

The Issue

Three plots (1400 Linda Lane, 955 Bridlepath Lane, and 963 Bridlepath Lane) representing nearly 2% of Cotswold’s total surface area, are now listed for sale to multi-family builders only. These lots are currently not zoned for multifamily units, which means they would need to be rezoned. If Cotswold bands together now, we hope to prevent this from happening.

This type of development is serious, and we’ve all seen how much population density and traffic has increased in Cotswold in recent years. Cotswold has 850 acres of land and only a small percentage of it is still forested. Sacrificing 14 acres of forest to multi-family development means the possibility of disrupting natural creeks and valuable drainage waterways, tearing down mature trees and valuable native vegetation, and displacing local wildlife. The damage from this type of development could be irreversible.

The aim of this petition is for Cotswold residents band together to make our voices heard and voice our opposition to any pending plans to destroy our neighborhood with rezoning. Keep Cotswold green.
