Dear City Council,
I urge you to vote NO to Rezoning Petition 2020-049.
This facility will harm the quality of life of residents, the environment, and the home values. Even with the amended 53 acres and bike paths, the harms greatly outweigh the good.
This facility is NOT the highest and best use of a location that could bring amenities, energy and life to this food desert that has so many positive resources like Lake Wylie and the White Water Center, but lacks the restaurants and retail stores that could really make our area thrive!
The most recent version of 2020-049 still goes against existing area plans that we all trusted to promote smart growth and development in our community AND does not address the goals of the new Charlotte Future 2040 Plan to "Create Complete Communities and an Equitable Charlotte!"
Please vote no.
Sincerely,
