It's simply this; Veteran's license plates are too expensive in Massachusetts, and in no way does this cost reflect any gratitude for service by the state and/or the DMV. They are currently billed at a rate approx 30% higher than standard car plates, and while I realize that they could be construed as 'vanity' plates, in my opinion, Veterans have earned the privelidge to be charged the same as the general public for Veteran marked plates.
