With the recent outbreak of Covid-19 many businesses and sports facilities, even gyms, have been close since the beginning of March. With the most recent phase in Massachusetts allowing citizens of our great state to go into gyms and touch some of the dirtiest things you can, a metal bar that about 100 people have touched in 2 days. Now, that's not too crazy because they wear masks and people are cleaning around the clock. What is crazy is that they allow kids to play baseball and softball knowing that kids will not stay away from each other. How can you have the bases loaded and but expect a runner not to be close and breathing on the first, second, and third basemen. Not to mention the common ball they all touch WITH THEIR BARE HANDS. Now, with the help of a couple signatures you could help me get the attention of Charlie Baker and Senator John Keenan to help kids play lacrosse. They are being deprived of their rights to see their friends and play their game. Let me remind you lacrosse is one of the only sports where you wear gloves and can actually put a facemask on under the helmet and still be totally functional. But, on the other hand, the team of referees that makes up MIAA lacrosse have been trying to take the big hit out for a long time. Also, the game can be adapted for these new rules! Please sign and help us put kids back on the field for the little bit of summer we have left!
