Last night's segment on WCVB Boston 25 got the message out: people with type 1 diabetes need to be included in on the vaccine priority list.

We need to flood Governor Baker's office with calls. Calls get tallied. This number is used to make and defend policy decisions.

He needs to hear:

• People with type 1 diabetes have 3x the risk of being hospitalized, intubated, in the ICU or dying from COVID than someone without diabetes
• African Americans and Latinos with type 1 diabetes are 4x more likely to be hospitalized with COVID than Caucasians with type 1
• Why you care about including type 1 diabetes at the same level as type 2 for the COVID vaccine
