Ban the use of single-use plastic bags in the state of Massachusetts

The Issue

The use of single-use plastic bags is a problem in the United States that needs to be solved. Animals are mistaking them for food, and choking and dying. Plastics at sea concentrate dangerous chemicals, that the fish who eat the bags are consuming. We eat these fish. They are not biodegradable. This means that the more we consume, produce, and throw out plastic bags, the more will be thrown into landfills, rivers, the sea, and all across on land. About 150 cities and counties across the state of California have banned the use of single-use plastic bags, and residents of these places have reported positive results. Please help me to ban the use of single-use plastic bags in the state of Massachusetts, and opt for more environmentally-concious paper or reusable bags instead.
