CCSD is considering the elimination of partial magnet programs within the district. These schools include Sullivan's Island Elementary, Laing Middle School, James B. Edwards Elementary and other schools within the district. School choice would be eliminated at these schools while the special programs would remain in place. 

If these partial magnet designations are removed, new zoning maps would have to be drawn. District 2 just went through a re-zoning process and will may potentially have another. 

This places an undue burden on families who are at current partial magnet schools and would potentially be at the mercy of the district transfer option to keep their family at one school. New zoning may have families split between schools if the maps are changed from today's current version. 

Please sign this petition to show CCSD that you are opposed to elimination of partial magnets in District 2 and potential re-zoning of schools. 

There is also a survey available through the district. Please be very clear and concise in your response. The survey may be compiled by computer so use words like oppose and do not support when answering the partial magnet questions.
