Charleston County School District changed the 2014-2015 exemption policy to having an 85 or higher and being a senior and having no other contributing factors. Today is January 6, 2016, 3 school days before exams and seniors, that qualify for the pilot exam policy, are now rushing to get prepared for an exam that was not supposed to be administered to us. Teachers as well as students are upset about this sudden change and wish to have the old pilot policy back. This is a conflict for the Wando community and all 15 schools in Charleston County School District. This sudden change affects families, students, teachers, and every person involved in education. This decision affects all 55,000 students in Charleston County School District.
