In the wake of yet another horrific mass shooting that has gained national notoriety, I thought I would again pass along an update on the status of the proposed changes to LEOSA that I have long advocated for. As I last advised a bill had been introduced to the House to make many of the changes sought in this petition. That bill (H.R. 6105) was referred to the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations on 7/30/18.

The best course of actions are to continue to encourage people to sign this petition, but even more importantly contact your local member of Congress and urge them to support the passage of H.R. 6105.
