Charles Ramsey is a national hero. Simply put. No matter his education or socio-economic status, he is a hero. The man was eating McDonald's while sitting at home when heard cries for help. His selfless actions saved the lives of three captive women thus ending a ten year nightmare for them. He heard screaming, thought something was wrong, and went over to lend a hand.

It is for this reason, I ask the Obama administration to invite Mr. Ramsey into the White House for a meet and greet with President Obama. In such a time when we as Americans live with terrorism and attacks on our freedom, Charles Ramsey is the epitome of what the American spirit should be.

It is also for this reason that I ask the City of Cleveland to honor Mr. Ramsey's heroic call to action with a key to the city. Thank you for your time and effort.
