The IRS has been behind processing tax returns even before it shut down due to Covid. Many people including families, seniors, veterans and the disabled depend on this return yearly. Some people who have filed as early as January 2020 are still waiting for their refunds.  These refunds help buy many necessities such as food, medication, housing upgrades, cars(including car maintenance), pay for education, and even much needed vacations.  With covid causing many families to do virtual schooling, items such as computers,  desks, various school supplies and food are causing serious financial strain on many families. 

I demand that all returns be released without review for 2020 within 30 days to help ease the burden many people are facing during the pandemic. I also request the immediate resignation of IRS commissioner Charles P. Rettig as he has shown he is incapable of keeping the IRS running smoothly during the pandemic. I also request a full investigation of the IRS response to shutting down due to Covid as it has been very ineffective.
