There are many different Independent School Districts in Houston that are giving their students and teachers a day off to appreciate Columbus Day, a very important time in history. It doesn’t take much for a simple calendar change to make this happen. I believe that many students and staff will sign this petition and hopefully change Dr. Dupre’s mind on whether or not we should have Columbus day off.
