Over 200,00 animals die each year from cosmetic animal testing.

Many animals such as rats, mice, guinea pigs and hamsters are used for cosmetic animal testing. Monkeys, cats and dogs are used to test other chemicals in cleaning products.

Think about it –  when you buy a tube of eyeliner, an animal may have died to make it. Many companies such as Maybelline, Estee Lauder, Loreal, Revlon, Aveeno, Chapstick and Chloe still test on animals.

Companies such as The Body Shop, e.l.f, Aesop and NYX have stopped this harmful animal testing in their factories. In 1995 a new cruelty free company started called Lush, selling handmade cosmetics for bath, body, hair and skin care. Lush now has 931 shops in 49 countries this proves that a company can be successful being cruelty free.

All over the world many countries have banned animal testing all together. So far, cosmetic animal testing has been banned in 39 countries.

If we want cosmetic animal testing to be banned in more countries and more cosmetic companies, we need your help.

We must stop animals from dying from unnecessary and cruel cosmetic animal testing anymore.
