To every single person who has signed, shared, commented, messaged us, promoted our petition, or simply stood beside our family during this heartbreak — thank you. Truly.

What started as unimaginable grief for our family has turned into something much bigger: a community coming together because they care. Our neighbours, friends, local businesses, parents, workers, and complete strangers have rallied behind us in ways we never expected. Seeing people help keep Chunk’s name alive and support this fight for safer roads means more than words can explain.

Every signature matters. Every share matters. Every conversation matters.

Monck Road carries more than traffic — it carries stories. Stories of families, children, workers commuting home, neighbours, friendships, laughter, heartbreak, and unfortunately, loss. Over the last few days, my heart has ached hearing from so many people who have experienced tragedy, near misses, injuries, or the loss of someone they loved on this road. No family should have to carry that kind of pain.

This petition was never only about our dog. Chunk became the reason we finally refused to stay quiet any longer. We cannot change what happened to him, but we can try to create change so another family does not have to experience this same heartbreak.
