We are absolutely overwhelmed by the support our petition has received so far. Every signature, every share, every comment, and every message means more to our family than words can explain.

What started as grief over losing Chunk has turned into a fight to protect our children, our neighbours, and every family who travels Monck Road. No family should have to live in fear while their children wait for the school bus or play in their own yard.

This is bigger than one dog, one family, or one moment. This road has ongoing issues with speeding, dangerous passing, and drivers ignoring stopped school buses. We have spoken up about these concerns for months because we knew someone was eventually going to get hurt.

Chunk should still be here.

My husband and I are completely lost without our dog. The house has been silent in a way that feels unbearable. No paws following us room to room, no toys scattered around, no excitement at the door, no goofy junk pile he made outside from everything he could find. The boys and daughter  are grieving their best friend, and our whole home feels empty without him in it.

As this petition continues to spread, the stories we are hearing from other families who have experienced tragedy, loss, close calls, and fear on this road have been overwhelming. My heart truly goes out to every person and family who has felt the weight this road carries.
