The Issue

I have been contemplating for some time about the motivation behind the illegal migrant crisis and the spike in numbers over recent years and I have only been able to think of a few viable options and all of them are unthinkable.

It first became apparent of the Labour governments intentions to continue to allow illegal migrants into Britain when over 2000 illegal migrants crossed the channel, and (he) the new PM Andy Burnham did nothing. And continues to do nothing.  At first I thought that he may be another incompetent leader, and he still well could be, but then I started to think of all of the non-economic decisions they have made on migration since being in power, like choosing to put British women and children in danger in favor of stopping the boats, like  giving thousands of visa's to non-Ukrainian nationals who were supposed be family members of Ukrainians fleeing the war, like allowing the small boats to arrive here illegally and process them as asylum seekers. It just doesn't make sense, why would you choose to destroy a sovereign economy to boost growth?

Maybe the real aim of this Labour government is to gain an unfair advantage in upcoming elections by allowing illegal immigrants to break into this country and supporting them through the asylum process with the aim of gaining permanent citizenship. Even though it may not have an imminent impact, In 5+ years to come, once the hundred of thousands of illegal migrants have been processed and issued settled status or citizenship they will then be eligible to vote in our elections, meaning millions of foreign nations with ideologies that do not match ours could hold our future in their hands, potentially changing our national and political goals forever.

The very foundation of our democracy is at risk and I am not going to stand by and do nothing. Allowing non-eligible British individuals to cast votes could drastically alter the future of our nation, eroding the rights and voices of its true British citizens.

Statistics show a marked increase in the number of migrants entering the United Kingdom, with tens of thousands arriving Illegally every year. While there should always be a welcoming policy to those in need, the ability to vote and shape the future of our nation should be reserved exclusively for those born in Britain. This ensures that our elections accurately represent the will of the people who have deep-rooted ties to this land.  The integrity of British politics relies on a fair and honest electoral process, where only those with a vested interest in the preservation and prosperity of the United Kingdom can directly influence its future. With the current influx of migrants, I feel there is a legitimate concern that our democratic system may be being exploited for political gain, challenging the very principles that our country was built on.

We should not let that happen!

To mitigate these concerns, I propose the following actionable steps: (all proposed steps are negotiable and are subject to amend as necessary).

1. Amend existing electoral legislation in the Elections Act 2022 to require voters in General and Local elections to be British-born citizens. (with exception to citizens who have been tax payers for over 10yrs , and meet the tax contribution criteria).

2. Amend existing legislation in the Elections Act 2022 to abolish the rights for foreign nationals who have indefinite leave to remain/settled status to vote in the United Kingdom elections. (unless the above exceptions apply).

3. Amend existing legislation for citizenship, making it harder and more complex to gain.

A revision of the voting system to restrict it to British born individuals (with some exceptions), would protect our electoral integrity, ensuring that decisions about our country's future remain in the hands of those with a lifelong investment. Other countries have seen success with voter criteria adjustments, a model we can draw inspiration from.

I believe that standing up for free and fair elections is paramount. We need your support to send a clear message to the government. By only allowing British born individuals to vote, we preserve not only our heritage but also the democratic rights of future generations.
