The Issue
- On Dec 3,2019 at 532pm. My 15 year old daughter was walking home ,on sidewalk when a car came travelling at an excessive rate of speed,hopped the curb and killed my daughter Trinity Brooks. The woman ,Jennifer J Jones was arrested and has been in jail since..She has had 3 bail review hearings where the 1st 2 were rejected and today April 22,2020 she was finally granted private home detention which she doesnt deserve.My daughter deserves justice and i dont see how a judge can think its ok to send her home on private home detention when shes clearly a public risk..she didnt just go out 1 time and make a mistake, shes a heroin addict and an alcoholic and has a serious problem. She needs to sit in jail til her trial date. There is a family who never gets to see their child, niece, granddaughter,sister,aunt etc...ever again but she gets to go home and see her 2 children that she doesnt have custody of..How is that justice? Wheres my daughters justice? Judge Alexander should have rejected the private home detention and he didnt. Shame on him and the judicial system for failing my daughter,THE VICTIM, in this case. I need as much support as possible to help get a law started in Trinitys name..call it Trinitys Law..if the judicial system would stiffen the sentences and stop the slaps on the wrist then maybe drunk and drugged driving would slow down.
