Change the venue for Baltimore family court

The Issue

Imagine not being able to see your own child for an entire year due to unfair judgments. This is my reality as a native of Baltimore, Maryland, struggling through a biased family court system. I am writing this petition because I feel mistreated by the judge handling my case. This judge maintains a close friendship with the opposition, and to make matters worse, the opposition’s sister has been working at the same courthouse for the past 20 years, creating an environment of potential bias and partiality.

Family court is supposed to be about justice, fairness, and putting the interests of the child first. However, when there are apparent conflicts of interest and potential biases, achieving a just outcome becomes exceedingly difficult. This situation is incredibly distressing, and I fear it is denying me the fundamental right to have a fair trial and, as a consequence, is keeping me away from my daughter.

There are potential solutions to ensure justice is served fairly. By moving the proceedings to a different venue, we can eliminate these potential conflicts and provide a neutral environment where decisions can be made that genuinely reflect the best interests of all involved, especially the children who are at the heart of these matters.

This petition seeks to change the venue for my family court case to a courthouse that is not influenced by existing relationships that may compromise the fairness of the proceedings. A new venue would offer a fresh perspective, ensuring that judgments are based solely on facts and merits rather than relationships behind the scenes.

It is imperative that Baltimore's justice system reflects fairness and impartiality. Ensuring unbiased proceedings is not just in my interest but serves the broader community as well, setting a precedent that the justice system listens and adapts to the needs of its people.

I call upon the relevant authorities to consider this change of venue to uphold the integrity of our legal system, protecting the rights of parents and children alike. Your support in signing this petition can bring about necessary change and bring families together who have been torn apart by partial and unfair judgments. Join me in this fight for justice in Baltimore.
