As a dedicated fan of the Vancouver Canucks, I have been thrilled to witness our team's victories and share in the excitement of each goal scored. However, during the home opener for the 2023-24 season, despite our team scoring eight times, I felt that our celebrations were limited and stifled due to a poor choice of a goal song. The current selection "Don't Forget About Me" may be a decent song on its own but it lacks the energy needed to truly celebrate these moments of triumph.

Music plays an integral role in sports events; it sets the tone and can significantly influence both players' performance and fans' experience. This demonstrates how crucial it is for us to select an upbeat goal song that can pump up fans and build an exciting atmosphere for everyone involved.

I am therefore calling on Canucks Sports & Entertainment to change our team's goal song from "Don't Forget About Me" to something more energetic and uplifting - one that will truly amplify our celebrations whenever we score a goal.
