As group who deeply cares for the wellbeing of animals and trying to support local communities, recent events have caused catastrophe at Brookswood. The terrible snow storm hit Brookswood, resulting in a tragic death of an animal and destruction to their homes . Our school has always been an advocator of charity and community support, and we believe it's time we channel our efforts towards a cause that's close to home and makes a tangible difference in the lives of the voiceless.

Brookswood Animal Sanctuary is a local charity dedicated to caring for vulnerable, abandoned, and helpless animals in need. They work tirelessly to provide shelter and care to the animals which costs £3000 weekly, medical care which is very expensive adding up to more than £1000 monthly, and love to animals who have been neglected or discarded by society. Their mission is not just to rescue animals, but to give stability and a chance at a good second chance at life for the animals.

The difference Brookswood Animal Sanctuary makes is palpable in our community. They've rescued countless animals from dire situations, for example two horses Abby and Anna are two horses came from an animal testing lab and were retired at just under a year old. Most animal testing subjects are not so lucky. There is also Callumn who got captured by people who tried to sell him then when failed he got sent of to slaughter and thankfully were saved. They provide them with medical care and now living happily at the sanctuary. Every donation they receive directly impacts the animals' quality of life and aids in their rehabilitation. 

By changing our school charity to support Brookswood Animal Sanctuary, we have the opportunity to teach students about Brookswood and why they need our help. It’s a chance to show them how their collective efforts can make a significant difference. Moreover, supporting a local charity fosters a sense of community and strengthens our local networks.
