We, the devoted fans of the New York Yankees, respectfully request that the post-loss song currently played, Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” be replaced with another Sinatra classic: “That’s Life.” We appreciate the rich tradition that “New York, New York” brings to Yankee Stadium and the way it encapsulates the spirit of our great city. However, as fans who passionately support our team, we believe a change would better align with the moment following a tough game.

“That’s Life” perfectly captures the resilience and spirit we feel after a setback. The song’s message – a testament to bouncing back despite life’s ups and downs – reflects the attitude we have as fans and the determination we know our team embodies. Its lyrics resonate with the idea that, while we may face losses, we always rise again, stronger and ready for the next challenge. This change would acknowledge that while we accept setbacks, our belief in the Yankees never wavers.

The shift to “That’s Life” would allow us to close each loss, with a note of encouragement and resolve, giving fans a moment to reflect and stand together, ready for the comeback we know is around the corner.
