Change the Oxford Dictionary Definition of Feminism to Actually Fit the Movement

The Issue

Change the Oxford definition of feminism to fit the actual cause, the current definition is "the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.", in reality, it is the advocacy of women's liberation from patriarchal oppression. Saying that it is the political equality of the sexes is incorrect because this is an implication that feminism should include men when in reality its main goal is to focus on women's rights. (femme-in-ism; suggests that it is for females, it's really all in the title). Radical feminists all over the world are hated for the mere fact that they are not only radfems, but female; due to the fallaciousness spread by woman haters and misunderstood people who did not care to research the movement before deciding it is a bad one. As a summary of our purpose, I'll explain that we believe in separatism, abolitionism, and especially the fact that women are oppressed because of our sex. We cannot liberate women from a patriarchal standard and oppression if something simple like a definition cannot correctly acknowledge our need for liberation. Feminism should never be sugar-coated, or allow men to water our demands down so they can continue to hinder any progress.
