The "Star-Spangled Banner", written in 1773 by Francis Scott Key has been a staple of America since its inception. However, given recent events that have shaken the nation, we the people, have proposed a new anthem. One fitting of the modern-day climate and America we live in. Just as flags are retired, so should our very own national anthem. Now many of you may ask what will that song be to replace the classic we have all known. That song will be "Freestyle" by Atlanta rapper Lil Baby. This song represents the patriotic and founding principles of freedom this great nation was built upon. It will be played just as the original was at sporting events and on the fourth of July. With this petition, we can usher in a new national anthem that future generations will come to embrace as truly American and unique.
