As an integral part of Newcastle society, the Metro transit system carries fans to games at St James' Park week in, week out. Aleksandr Mitrovic has inspired thousands of people across the city with his recent performances alongside his incredible passion. He epitomises the spirit of the city, and deserves recognition for his contributions.

While it may be impractical in the short term to change every Metro sign throughout the system, a start could be made at the St James' station. Eventually we could see every yellow board North of the Tyne bearing his name, in a move that would show to the world the passion for football for which Geordies are famed.
