We, the students of Melonba High School, are asking for a change to our school uniforms because they do not support us in the way we need. The yellow fabric is see-through, which makes many of us feel uncomfortable and exposed during the school day. The material is thin and does not keep us warm, especially in colder weather, which affects our ability to focus and feel safe. The skirts are also difficult to move in and not very practical. A skort would be a much better option, giving us the freedom to participate in activities without worrying about coverage. We are proud to be part of Melonba, but we believe our uniforms should help us feel confident, comfortable, and ready to learn. That is why we are asking for a redesign that puts student wellbeing first.
