Segment on the Petition and Flashmob was on this morning's Mandate programme on Manx Radio, there is also an article in today's Courier. Also a small article on the 3fm website. 3fm have us singing and dancing - it is actually planned as a singing only flashmob. But if you do come along and want to dance too, that's fine! This is a musical protest against domestic abuse and sexual assault. It's about no longer hiding or being ashamed, but speaking out about it. The song is "Quiet" by Milck; Saturday is International I Can't Keep Quiet Day. The song is sung around the world at 1pm in each time zone. The artist, Milck, has sent us 2 messages of support and thanks for bringing #ICan'tKeepQuiet to the Isle of Man. Minister Bill Malarkey and MHK Alex Allinson have both said they will be there with us at the Flashmob tomorrow. Please come along, bring a pink or purple hat and sing along. We are meeting in the basement of Promenade Methodist Church at 12 noon to run through the song, ensure everyone knows where they are going, and to distribute spare hats, signs etc. to those who don't have their own. This is particularly important for those who want (or are willing) to help lead the flashmob and start the song off, if you are not free for a rehearsal at twelve, but would like to join in once the song has started, please be near M&S or the Strand shopping centre for 1pm.
