Change the Law on Animal Cruelty
The Issue
I would like to reach all of you to help change the Law on animal Cruelty. Currently the Law allows an animal abusers family member living in the same house to have animals. They can leave them with the abuser as they know that the Law cannot do anything and no one can prove neglect.
I have a Neighbour at the moment that has 4 dogs and a boa constrictor snake. At first I got on with my neighbour not knowing the truth about his disgusting past. My Neighbour moved from Kingston upon Thames to Gilfach Gogh in the Rhondda Valleys. He and his wife already had two 10 year bans and a life time ban. Once in the old pub in Gilfach they had geese, racing dogs of apporx 30!!! A pony and other animals. They moved from here to Pontypridd and once moved there was a RSPCA investigation at the pub in Gilfach Goch showing the disgusting conditions these animals were living in. Once in Pontypridd they were caught up by the RSPCA and given a prison sentence.
However 4 dogs were not signed over and this caused problems. Now I have them living next door to me. The house smells of urine, Cigarette smoke, filth and old chip fat. The front and back garden is full of rubbish and plants and no where for the dogs to go exercise.
The 4 dogs never go out. The Lurcher used to go out now and again but into the car they have and back again. The Son goes out at random times and leaves the dogs in the house with the Father whom is the animal abuser. I have sent footage of the father holding the dog on a lead but because the dog is in the sons name, the RSPCA cant touch him. The son is now abusing as very rarely goes out and the poor dogs are stuck inside everyday. The housing officer for the Housing Association has seen two huskies in a small dogs cage held shut with a Clothes peg and both were snarling and barking.
This is no way to treat these dogs and they should be given a loving family home with which to exercise. I want the Law to be changed so that no dogs are allowed into a Animal abusers house. No family member staying at an animal abusers house shall keep animals. Any one who is associated with the animal abuser should also be given punishment for animal abuse. The son who lives with the animal abuser and the daughter who visits both do not regularly take the dogs out. Its vile.
I wish for the RSPCA and the Police to have more powers to stop this kind of treatment. Keeping humans in cages is disgusting and so is the same to animals unfairly and when the cage is not suitable. A cage should only be used to give and animal its own space as a place of safety in my own opinion. If anyone wants to check up on what Im on about you can look at these websites:
