As an animal lover myself. I think its absolutely disgusting that anyone who runs over a cat doesnt need to report it, but if its a dog u do. Who is anyone to say a dogs life matters more than cat. Its still someones pet. This is the most ridiculous law ive ever heard.

As an owner of 2 indoor cats, id be devastated if any of my cats got out and got ran over with nobody taking accountability for it. 

I recently witnessed a neighbours cat from the next street, who was lying there after being hit by sum1 who had drove off and the poor wee thing died. I would be distraught if that was my furbaby.
