Millions of cats each year are dying from anti freeze poisoning.  Anti freeze is sweet tasting to cats and so they are drawn to it. Just half a teaspoon is enough to kill a cat.  This is because of an ingredient in anti freeze called Ethylene Glycol.  This ingredient although not toxic itself, when it is metabolized in the body it becomes severely toxic to the kidneys causing severe kidney damage. Once consumed it is often too late to seek medical help for cats and most cases are fatal. 

if Ethylene Glycol was to be removed from anti freeze I believe we could all use anti freeze safely and millions of cats lives would be saved.
