The Issue

For many of us, finding the time to fully engage in community activities, such as planned gaming sessions, is tough enough without them being scheduled on inconvenient days. Many players look forward to "admin abuse" events in our online gaming community. However, the currently planned date of Monday, 09-07-26, presents a significant challenge for those who have work and family commitments. We believe shifting the event to Sunday, 09-06-26, not only accommodates a broader audience but also enhances the inclusivity and enjoyment of the event.

"Admin abuse" is a beloved cornerstone of our gaming experience, where everybody gets a shot at experiencing enhanced gameplay, often with hilarious and memorable results. Having it on a Sunday would mean more participants, as it does not conflict with the typical workweek and allows our members, who are balancing jobs and family responsibilities, the opportunity to join in on the fun.

To ensure the admin abuse runs smoothly and all players get a chance to participate, we propose a structured approach: the event could commence at 8 am PST and conclude at 8 pm PST, allowing everyone a generous 12-hour window to log in, play, and revel in the experience. Diligence in planning is crucial—by organizing development shifts, we can make the event sustainable and prevent burnout among our developers. By conducting admin abuse sessions every 2-4 hours, we ensure continuous player engagement and distribute the workload among the dev team evenly.

Imagine the positive impact of a seamless, enjoyable day free of rushed gameplay or tech hiccups. Our goal is to create a space that respects the time commitments of both players and developers and maximizes the enjoyment derived from these events.

Please join us in petitioning for a change in the admin abuse date to Sunday, 09-06-26. Your support is vital to making this event as accessible and enjoyable as possible for everyone involved. Sign this petition to help us bring this proposal to life.
