Texas does not protect their wildlife. You can literally kill a "fur bearing pest" with no repercussions at all... yet get fined for trying to save or aid its young. People kill racoons, possums, skunks, squirrels and others... simply for being on their property. How is this okay? How is this legal? Wild life was here before us. They aren't doing anything wrong, yet they are being hurt for our own selfishness. "Oh, the racoon got into my trash, so I'm going to kill it and orphan it's babies"

Texas laws need to be changed to protect our wild life before there are none left. They make it hard for anyone with compassion to help.

Look at the laws. It's disgusting. Save the wild life! It shouldn't just be up to the few people who sacrifice their lives to rehabilitate these defenseless animals. It should be up to all of us.
