My daughter is a senior at South Plantation High School, class of 2026, and I want nothing more than to see her and her peers graduate in a venue that truly honors their achievements and marks this significant milestone. Our amazing seniors deserve a memorable and dignified graduation ceremony. Unfortunately, the current plan involves holding their graduation in another school's gymnasium, which I believe does not do justice to their hard work and dedication.

Every graduating class deserves to celebrate their accomplishments in a venue that reflects the importance of this occasion. Our seniors have spent years working tirelessly, balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments. It's only fair that they are rewarded with a ceremony that's not only memorable but also fitting for such a milestone.

Graduations are rites of passage and should be treated as such. The choice of venue plays a crucial role in the overall experience for graduates and their families. A school gymnasium, while functional, lacks the prestige and distinctive qualities that an occasion of this magnitude demands. It is essential that we provide our seniors with a location that enhances the experience rather than diminishes it.

There are numerous venues within our community that can offer both a memorable experience and accommodate the necessary capacity for all students, families, and guests. Local auditoriums, community centers, or even outdoor venues could serve as excellent alternatives, providing a beautiful atmosphere that resonates with the significance of our students' journey.

We believe in celebrating our students' achievements in a manner that befits their dedication and success. By changing the venue, we showcase our commitment to honoring their journey.
