Kochy and his mob of whingers say the Crows are disrespecting the State jumper. A bit hypocritical I think. As you can see in the image, the all conquering state jumper that I grew to love in the 80’s and 90’s was red, gold and royal blue. The Crows want to honour the history of SA football and in particular this jumper, with a one-off replica that is in their own team colours of red, gold and navy blue, to which the SANFL and AFL agreed. However, a few years back, Port took the design of this much revered guernsey and bastardised it with their own team colours of black, white and teal on a permanent basis (in both their home and away guernseys). Therefore, I call on Kochy to amend Port’s home and away guernseys so that they bear no resemblance to the state jumper that he feels the Crows have disrespected.
