I'm sure you've noticed by now that most politicians are oh so wealthy. They go into their career path, not for the greater good of the people, but for the greater good of themselves. They create laws that employ companies, and just before this they buy up those companies stocks at the lowest rates before their value rises. In turn, politicians of these laws gain hundreds of thousands with every law turned. This is the definition of insider trading, illegal to all but our law makers themselves. Investigated by none because they make the rules and run our police, aside from destroying evidence. Did you know the president makes 400,000 every year for the rest of their lives? 4 years of being an instigator and they are set to never work again. Yet they continue to soak up money like a sponge. Why are we allowing our governing body to be run by greed? Why are we sitting idle while we pay them to keep exploiting us. 

I petition that we change this once and for all, create a governing body that cares about the people, not the money. Let's give every politician from legislator to president the salary of a 2024 teacher. Let's not support them the rest of their lives as that is the opposite of the American dream they pretend to promote. Finally, I petition that alongside this change in pay, a new branch of police be created, a branch with a sole purpose of double checking every document, law, bill, or classified piece of information passed within our governing body. With pay equal to a new legislators pay, that of a teacher, and bonuses upon discovery and release of evidence relating to governmental corruption. 

Stop living in the shadow of a greed stricken loveless system that pits you against the other party to distract you from your own politicians transgressions. Make America a place worthy of the title free, because as of right now, we are all anything but.
