Overwatch's moderation and the appeal system Blizzard Entertainment have set up is unreliable and unprofessional, it's gotten worse over the years and it will make people leave the game. 

It punishes you the player for standing up for yourself against toxic players, whether those be racist, sexist or any sort of hateful conduct in that sense. Swear words and even implying something negative can get you suspended for thirty days, this is then met with an unprofessional appeal system which, depending on who you get as moderator can be shut down, leading to no more than one appeal being sent, while you are left suspended for an unfair reason with a message like: "We have no intention of discussing this matter further, farewell."

What kind of image does that give us, the player? Let bullies walk all over you and just hope the report you send out reaches them first before the people that harass you, spam message you, send countless of friend requests to you, leading sometimes to people sending messages of threats, or blocks of texts that end up crashing your game?

Surely Blizzard should know by now to give the people who are getting harassed a voice considering what has happened and what has been revealed in recent history, but the unprofessional responses I have just listed, doesn't prove so, it shows the enabling of silencing those who want to defend themselves, not by insulting other players ofcourse, but by not backing down.

This is not to mention the countless throwers, trolls and leavers you get when going for basic comms and attempts at teamwork, only to be met with "stfu" or them ruining your game on purpose.

Together with this petition, we can hopefully make Blizzard realize that they either need to focus on the right type of moderation, one that gets rid of people that say slurs and not swears. One that gets rid of throwers and trolls, rather than the people that complain about it.

It's easier to say a problem is solved when you silence/suspend the person who is complaining/speaking up about it.
