Andre Alexander was harshly sentenced to over 40 years to serve for cases that include attempted rape, false imprisonment, and burgulary. But NO DNA was found to follow these accusations. Nor was anything stole, nor was there any forced entry. The victim was his school mate in which he had dealings with previously. The victims father was a (White) judge of the same town at the time. He was sentenced to the maximum of each charge and to serve them consecutively. There was also an all white jury and the presiding judge over the case was a long time friend and judge of the same district of the victims father. Please allow the correct people to look over his case to see the lack of DNA, evidence and proof. It’s clear that to many, this black kid life doesn’t matter to get such an extremely harsh sentence. The victim did not sustain a single bruise nor was any DNA found. The family of this young man has been dealing with this tragedy for 18 years now. We pray to God everyday for his release. Please please help ANDRE ALEXANDER get a fair trial. With so little evidence in which the victim didn’t have a stratch, no bleeding, and wasn’t harmed or scarred from the incident. The state of Georgia sentenced my brother to the max of his charges in which he is to serve the sentences consecutively. Which adds up to be over 40 years for a crime that no violence occurred and no weapon used against a victim. Because the victim was a white person whom is the child of a Thomaston Ga judge. My brother has been suffering from incarceration for 18 years now and til this day does not have a release date. My mother and lawyers have tried everything to get an appeal but as soon as the notice gets to the Thomaston circle of judges it gets denied. Can somebody, anybody tell us what else can we do to seek justice for Andre Alexander because this justice system will not let up on him. In addition to the post submitted, the rape kit showed no penetration occurred and there was no DNA match of his saliva on her body to substantiate a charge for which he was given 30 years. Also my son had an all white jury who most knew the victim or her family. He stood no chance of having a fair trial in this town, especially with the work relationship between the trial judge and the victim's father and other relatives. Injustice anywhere is a threat to injustice everywhere. As we have experienced time and time again, our black sons lives don't matter. Innocence Project has had Andre's files for years and though I contact them regularly, his case is always pending. Every recourse I have taken has been to no avail. This victim has gone on with her life, has had opportunity to get all the help she needed. For 18 years, my son has suffered terribly behind prison walls. Where is the Justice? Blind and in the wrong hands it seems. God forbid. We welcome any advice, help, suggestions, and participation in our cry for Andre Alexander's freedom.
