We, the undersigned, hereby express our strong support for the approval of the Application of Hudson Ridge Wellness Center, Inc., to establish an upscale specialty hospital for the treatment of those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction on the 20+ acre property at 2016 Quaker Ridge Road in the
Town of Cortlandt.

As there is no other such facility in the Town or Westchester County, we believe the proposed hospital is absolutely necessary to serve a vital public need and that it will make an important contribution in the battle against the ever-increasing opioid crisis which affects and threatens us all.

We believe the Quaker Ridge location is an appropriate one for the hospital, as the Applicant will only be using existing buildings. Long used for such hospital and other institutional use and will be preserved over 40 acres of open space, while taking substantial measures to avoid any significant adverse impacts
on the environment or the neighborhood.

We believe the proposed hospital will provide a significant benefit to the Town and surrounding communities. Therefore, we urge you to consider what we believe is overwhelming support of the entire community for such a hospital.
