Just recently, a petition went up on Change.org, calling upon Australia's immigration minister, stating: "No Violent Extremism. Gavin McInnes Should Not be Allowed into Australia"
In your terms of service, it states: "If we are put on notice that your content violates the law OR THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS (for example, if it is established that it is DEFAMATORY or violates privacy, intellectual property or publicity rights or others)"
The petition is demanding that he not be allowed into the country. A clear (and gross) violation of the right of freedom of movement, and the right to free speech and expression.
The petition also slanders Gavin McInnes and the Proud Boys, as being "violent extremists". Puts scare quotes around the words "comedy tour", implying that Gavin McInnes and the Proud Boys have ulterior motives, and implying they would put people in danger. Painting Gavin and the Proud Boys as a "hate group" (cites discredited website: SPLC) and one that is "alt-right" (which means "Neo-Nazi" in common parlance). None of which is substantiated...
Gavin McInnes and the Proud Boys have repeatedly stated they are not alt-right:
The petition is in clear violation of your terms of service, as its intent, is to violate and abuse the rights of others. And lying about people, to paint them as violent Neo-Nazi extremists that are a danger to others is clearly defamatory.
If it is allowed to remain, it will enable and encourage others to engage in defamatory actions, damaging the reputation and/or lives of more people.
We the undersigned demand that you (Change.org) ENFORCE YOUR OWN TERMS OF SERVICE and remove the infringing petition from your platform.
