ብዙዎቻችን እደምናዉቀዉ እምዬ ሚኒሊክ የዘመናዊ ኢትዮጵያ አባት እና የአፍሪካውያን የነፃነት ቀንዲል ሆነዉ ሳሉ ጥቂት መረን አደግ አገር-በቀል ጡትነካሾች እና አክራሪዎች በጦርነት ማሽነፍ ካያልቻሉት ኢትዮጵያዊ መንፈስ ኣኮስሶ ለመግደል አጋጣሚ ተጠቅመዉ ከጠላታችንን ጋር ወግነዉ እምዬን ዘመቻ ከፍተዉባቸዋል። የአኖሌን ሀዉልት አስቀምጠዉ ግን የእምዬ ሚኒሊክን ሀዉልት ከቆረቆሯት አዲሳባ ለማስነሳት እንቅስቃሴዎች ጀምረዋል። የፔትሽን ማሰባሰብ ዘመቻ ላይ ናቸው።   ይሄ ለኛ ትልቅ ንቀትና ዉርደት ነዉ። ይህ ቅዠታቸውን እዉን ከሆነ በዉነትም የኢትዮጵያን መፍረስ መቀበላችን ትከሻችንን ለባርነት ማደላደላችንን አመላካች መሆኑን በመረዳት ኣገርህን ወዳድ የሆንክ ሁሉ ይህንን ፔትሽን በመፈረም ጠላትን እደልማዳችን አሳፍረን እንመልስ። ይኼን ሳናደርግ ብንቀር ግን የአባቶቻችን ኣፅም እሾህ ሆኖ ይዉጋን።

It is self-evident that Emperor  Minilk II is the father of modern Ethiopia and beacon of freedom to Africans. However, There are some efforts by extremists and enemies of Ethiopia who posted petition on ‘Change.org’ website that is full of gross misrepresentation of facts and is incendiary in nature. This petition organized by self-proclaimed Oromo activist called Mr. Soneessaa falsely claims that atrocities were committed by one ethnic group against another ethnicity in Ethiopia in the past. Furthermore, the petition calls for action to incite retribution including removing of emperor Minilik’s statute from its capital Addis Ababa. As it is accounted in historical books which can easily be referenced, Emperor Minik is a symbol of freedom and emancipator as initiated and negotiated the ending of slave trade. There are plethora of historical documents archived and experts and historians alive who can attest to the emperor’s directive for humane treatment of PWOs during battle of Adewa. The veracity of our Minilik’s contribution to Africa in general and Ethiopia in particular can confirmed. We denounce any petition that push Ethiopia into precipice civil war and calamity unprecedented by the likes of Rwanda!

Every Ethiopian and friends of Ethiopia should sign this petition and save our beloved country from descending to civil war.
