Hi, my name is Ebony Spano — I’m a U.S. Navy veteran, community activist, Founder of GROW & MOVE and most importantly, a mother.

In the matter of four days, I was able to get five-year-old A’Marie’s mother one of the best attorneys in Northeast Ohio to represent her and since then two out of the three children have been charged, it’s progress but this is not enough. Since then other families have reached out to me with the tragedies of child and child abuse I want to help those families as well.

This isn’t about punishment — it’s about protection and prevention.

We’re not asking for pity. We’re pushing for policy reform, because families across Ohio are now reaching out for help — mothers, fathers, grandparents — all saying the same thing: “Our system failed us too.”
