The community of climate scientists is one which most people are unfamiliar. Ask 98% of the public to name a single climate scientist and most will not be able to name a single one. A few might name one or two like James Hansen or Michael Mann. 

One person who has emerged as an important voice is Dr. Jem Bendell. He has distinguished himself with a viral paper called Deep Adaptation and recently the book Breaking Together. 

His prediction in 2022 that we would see a spike in global temperature due to sulfate emission reductions was met with derisive scorn by establishment scientists like Dr. Michael Mann ..... but Dr. Bendell's prediction came true in 2023. We did indeed witness a global temperature spike which establishment climate scientists are now saying they can't explain. 

I am engaging in some correspondence with Dr. Bendell's assistant and asking him to champion this petition or adapt it to words which he is more comfortable with. I don't care who gets the credit. I just want to protect my kids. 

We are indeed POISONING the atmosphere as it pertains to the healthy range necessary to maintain human civilization. This is not the only kind of ecological poisoning, but it is much simpler to take a stand on because there is a single dominant toxin (carbon dioxide) for us to focus on and modify our behavior around. 

The same mindset which helps us to address this one toxin will help us address many others. 

Praying for a good result here. Dr. Bendell may be one of the most important voices on Earth at this moment and I hope that he can see the value in this cause.
