We are calling for a change in the mascot of MCHS, aiming to adopt an Indian as our new symbol. Our community has a history deeply rooted in native culture, and it's only fitting that we represent this heritage through our school symbol. Changing our mascot will not only illustrate respect to this historical presence but will also help bolster identity, pride, and unity among students and staff. This is by no means intended to stereotype or tokenize the native community, but rather to acknowledge and honor their significant contribution.
