Freedom Of Information (FOI) requests are VITAL to a healthy democracy, and Labor has gone out of its way to make the requests more expensive, and more redacted than ever.  Read a few of Micheal West Media articles and you'll get the picture.

But it's too late to pick apart what bad decisions our government has done in the past.  We need to stop the corruption, so better choices are made now and in the future.  A NACC is the only legal semi-structure we have, the only legal guard rails currently available to us to keep our government in check.

In fact it's piss weak, like taxing the super wealthy, because the NACC doesn't have to do disclose anything publicly.  It 'may' hold public hearings is code for it won't and will do sweet FA when it comes to doling out justice as evidenced from zero outcome of the Pink Bats and Robo Debt schemes.

Classic case of political oversight overshadowing direct evidence, is the salmon farming pollution in Macquire Harbour Tasmania a World Heritage listed environment allegedly from the likes of JBS Foods, Tassal and Petuna Aquaculture.

According to The Guardian, the Albanes Government rejected advice on Tasmanian salmon farming impact, before passing pro-industry laws.

We have an Environment Minister's position held then by Tanya Plibersek and now Murray Watts, performing 'political oversight' in support for industry not the environment.  We have a promised Environment Protection Agency on sustained delay.  And piss weak environment laws recently passed but have no teeth.

It feels more like political insight, where Labor would rather change electoral funding laws to pay for their next term in government, rather than earn that role.

Former senator Rex Patrick had to fight for this FOI in the administrative review tribunal.  Until I can see the financial books of the LibLabNatOne party, it's fair to say that these greedy foreign owned corporations have paid for access to continue disregarding our local environment.

Ministerial oversight is code for pollyacess or plainly it's corruption.

Currently there is a lot of political pressure being applied, especially taxing the gas cartels 25% and abolishment of the Negative Gearing / Capital Gains benefits.  And the super wealthy don't like us saying 'tax wealth not work'.  But until corruption is rooted out of our government, all we'll get is half measures.  The BS of 'oh it's near enough'.  There is no such thing as half corruption - it is still corruption.

Lets sign this petition so we can insert some legal insight into governance.  To remind the politicians their job is to pass bills, not bypass the law and certainly not to make business deals.
