Petition updateChange 'may' to 'must' for NACC public hearingsPurrfect Bidding Class

Want to know the benefits of pollyaccess?  For starters you get watered down environment laws.  But you need to belong to the bidding class first.

We still need mining, gas and oil - for chemical production, paints and plastics.  But we need a more circular economy where we don't subsidise the diggers and drillers, but we give the reusable, recyclable, sustainable industries the tax relief.

Open cut mines - big environment tax, underground mines - small environment tax.  The more damage you make, the more accountable you will be.

Penrith Lakes is the classic case of what a 75-year sand mining operation can end up like after the contract is complete.  They didn't just leave an open wound on the landscape, close up shop and move down the road expecting the government to clean up the mess.  They regenerated the entire area and it's slowly regenerating year on year.  In fact every summer it now hosts a very popular 'Pondi' a western Sydney 'beach', with spectacular views at the foot of the Blue Mountains.

Hornsby Shire and Blue Mountains City councils have the opposite problem where they have a quarry (small open cut mine) to fill in.  If the bidding class want to throw their money around for pollyaccess why don't they start by fixing the shit they leave behind.  Unlike these two holes in the ground, Penrith Lakes will forever be an asset for all and a shining example of what compensation can look like.  It's about commonsense.

I don't want shit or shit-lite.  I want awesome.  I want a future where big corporations can't wreck my environment and climate for free.  I want a future where the bidding class has to queue up at election time like everyone else.

Thank you again for signing my petition.  Please share if you haven't done so already.  Even right now there is still some dodgie conflict of interest going on with the NACC according to the ABC News.  Until we get public oversight to the NACC we may as well just rename it to the National Anti-Corruption Circus for all the good in it's current state will ever do.
