A quick update. Attached is a video of Senator David Pocock in parliament. It's long, so if you want the short version jump to the 5:09 mark.
Improving Government Honesty and Trust
Pocock is basically saying all the things we already know but specifically targets lobbying. He may as well be referring to politicians because they too are just as grubby.
The situation is thus - we the people like leadership, we crave it because we tolerate poor leadership. Our expectation is they will lead us. However, the reality is, most leaders while craving the attention, power, and salary, are just full steam ahead versions of the Titanic.
Most leaders are reactionary, solving yesterday's issues, and promises to mates, and not innovative and forward thinking. Most leaders are more interested in holding on to their power, and status, and not willing to risk it, for a good cause.
Therefore, the only way to motivate a weak leader, is to unite as a group and demand change. My hope is this petition will hold enough signatures to prove to all current and future leaders we no longer tolerate poor leadership.
Thank you for your support.
Cheers,
Dean Goddard
