The issue

Marlborough Boys’ College has a strong and well-presented uniform, and students appreciate the current options, including the school sweater and jacket. However, during colder months, some students may still feel cold even while wearing these items.

To support student comfort, we suggest that the school consider allowing appropriate non-uniform jackets to be worn over the uniform. This could follow simple guidelines around colour and style to maintain a neat and consistent appearance.

A warmer, more comfortable environment can help students stay focused and engaged in their learning. Allowing a non-uniform puffer jacket option may be a practical way to support this, and is something adopted by many other schools.

If you support this idea, please consider signing this petition to encourage Marlborough Boys’ College to review its uniform policy.
