TRICARE Providers — please take a moment to verify your provider directory status
Check how you are currently listed (in-network vs. out-of-network).
We recently requested a copy of our contract, and TRICARE/Humana Military advised they do not have a copy of our prior contract on file. We were also informed that reimbursement determinations were made using 2024 in-network rates we were previously reimbursed.
This raises a serious concern:
A payer cannot treat a provider as out-of-network for credentialing or contractual purposes while simultaneously applying in-network rate standards retroactively. Network designation must be transparent, consistent, and applied uniformly—including reimbursement methodology.
We strongly encourage all providers to:
Confirm how you are listed in the directory today
Request a copy of any contract they claim governs your participation
Document and retain evidence of any discrepancies in network status or rate application
Transparency and consistency are essential to provider sustainability—and to continued access to care for our military and veteran communities
