ABC and CBS News Contacted / Children and Family Protest Planned

Greetings Supporters for speaking up for your children and other children to have a "constitutional right" to have access to a public library in their community, a community where their parents and families work and pay into the community every day, so why aren't they given, at least, a public library? The St. John community deserves better! What has anyone done to ensure quality staff and avoid "staffing issues"? The management of the library in St. John needs to be in the hands of the St. John community where the management is not an "absentee landlord", which limits progress when people in the St. John community want to donate equipment and items to the library, they are not turned away by management that lacks a relationship with individuals and businesses on St. John, therefore lacking the capacity to truly manage this library, the Elaine I. Sprauve Public Library and Museum of Cultural Arts, need the community to take a stand together and meet with hand-held signs with messages about the importance of this public library. We will meet at this location (next to the Animal Care Center) with our signs on August 27! Please let others know to record and go live on social media on that day. We will show now in action by showing up! All those who are on the island on that day, please show up for the future of the youth and families on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands! Let us make this a national issue! Let us support public libraries in communities near and abroad.

Let us come together, meet each other, share conversations, and solutions, and share in a friendly protest demanding that our needs are met and we are represented as a community for the public library, for we are the patrons of this public library. We are the ones who live and work in this community and we demand that the leadership/management of our public library be in the hands of the community.

Let's make this national! Send your photos of our protest (August 27) to CBS and ABC News! Let the world see the islands where Jeffery Epstein was given the royal welcome (no background check required) with no public library, no public high school, and no public early childhood education centers - a void in the community yet big money can buy the island at the highest price?

Thank you for your support!
