Three women. Three libraries.

St. Jan Co. was awarded Grant to research the public libraries of the V.I. as a historical study from 1917 to the present! See excerpt from award letter:

"I am pleased to inform you that your project titled "Public Libraries: A V.I Historical Study" has been selected for funding in the amount of $25,000 administered by the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The purpose of this grant award is to employ humanistic methods, specifically a qualitative phenomenological approach to studying the historical past, cultural present, and possible future of public libraries in the U.S Virgin Islands (USVI). Please note, that a final grant report on the use of the funds and project outcomes will be due by October 15, 2022, through our online grant database. We look forward to following the progress of this remarkable project." (CFVI, 2022).
