At the last Board Meeting, Beth Polito received the support of Heather Hopkins, Laura Moon, and Jason Morimoto, and consequently will be staying in her role until August 2025.
She will therefore be involved:
- in setting up next year’s budget,
- in defining the strategic plan for the next 5 years,
- in selecting her successor.
We’re disappointed that the board didn’t take into account the community’s feedback, and will continue to let the district’s finances deteriorate at the expense of the teachers, the students and community. If we truly want to enact change, voting for the right candidates for the board is the only path forward.
Consider the following candidates for Board seats. There are excellent candidates that will focus on competent financial oversight to LLESD:
For the two 4 year seats:
- Kimberly Legg
- and Pooya Sarabandi
For the 2 year seat:
- Paige Winikoff. Paige was the only dissenting board member when it came to the superintendent's contract extension and expensive compensation package, while she has been continually fighting for the community.
